Haken

Wenn du manchmal etwas ungeschickt bist - ich zähle mich definitiv dazu - manchmal bin ich sehr unachtsam beim Handling mit dem Saxophon- solltest du einen Saxophongurt mit Karabinerhaken nehmen um ein ungewolltes Abstürzen des Sax zu vermeiden.

Metallhaken sollen auf der einen Seite angeblich besser für die Resonanz des Saxophons sein - sie sehen auf jeden Fall schick aus und sind sehr stabil- aber Metall auf Metall führt natürlich dazu, das der Haken an deinem Saxophon nagt. Nur damit du dran denkst. Der Lack von einem neuen Saxophon ist schnell weggefressen mit einem Metallkarabiner. Ich finde das persönlich nicht all zu schlimm aber bei meinem Saxophon ist an vielen Stellen auch schon seit jahrzehnten der Lack ab.

Optik

Ich bin entschieden für meinen Saxophongurt, weil er ergonomisch ist und gut aussieht. Für mein Bariton benutze ich zur Zeit den JazzLAB-Saxholder aber ich finde das Design für meinen Geschmack zu futuristisch und etwas funktional. Bedenke, dass einige sehr ergonomische Varianten manchmal nicht so gut geeignet sind wenn du zum Beispiel ein Video drehst oder etwas eitel bist.

Schultergurtempfehlungen:

Bei Ben Wendel habe ich gelernt, dass es von Vorteil ist, wenn der Gurt aus unnachgiebigem Material ist, damit das Saxophon beim Spielen nicht ständig verrutscht. Das hilft dabei, einen stabilen Ansatz und gute Technik zu entwickeln.

Nackengurte

Der beliebteste Gurt - gute Qualität, fast in jedem Saxophonshop zu bekommen, bei Thomann auch Kassenschlager, aber leider auch der, von dem ich arge Nackenschmerzen bekommen habe. Muss aber nicht der Fall sein bei dir:

Es gibt auch einige sehr schicke Vintage Saxophongurte und sehr einfache, dünne Gurte, meist für schmale Taler. Die alten Jazzer haben meist auch damit gespielt. Eine Marke dafür ist LeBlanc - du kannst “vintage saxophone strap” mal bei eBay eingeben, wenn dich das interessiert.
